Year-Round Tan Promises: Exposure Versus Appearance
A year-round tan can mean many different things: a cosmetic surface colour, repeated UV exposure, or a claimed peptide effect. The advertising phrase rarely identifies which one was measured.
Ask how colour was recorded
To support persistence, a seller would need consistent baseline and follow-up measurements, with other tanning methods and UV habits recorded. A few seasonal customer photographs are not a controlled comparison.
Do not assume a safer method
Avoiding one exposure does not automatically prove another product safe. Cancer Research UK advises against marketed Melanotan products, while NHS guidance says a tan does not protect against harmful sun effects.
Compare appearance options
Our cosmetic-versus-UV guide distinguishes surface colour from sun exposure. Neither a product testimonial nor the season changes the need for sensible outdoor protection.
